THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED
My favorite time of year has really, truly arrived. The time of year when all of my favorite things come out: fireflies, fireworks, water parks and watermelon. It's the time of year where I might be the only one older than 15 in the pool but I'm not the only one that smells like sunscreen all the time. Incidentally, I think everyone should wear sunscreen all year round and take every opportunity to swim. Life is short but wide, after all.As a kid, I was always the first one in the water. Pool, ocean, river, lake, didn't matter to me. Any time I got near anything bigger than a puddle I went in. As a result, anytime I was out of my parents sight, they braced themselves for my returning a sopping, giggling mess.

I do not have a go-to beach outfit even though I live extremely close to the beach.

this summer i'm rocking "minimal R&B diva":
ReplyDeletewhite 'kini gold accents hoop earrings long hair
I am a huge fan of anything vintage, seersucker, or covered in anchors or sailboats. Also highly impractical beach earrings, and a pinup girl scarf to keep my hair back. Bonus points if the scarf has anchors or sailboats on it.
ReplyDeleteI'll repost this on facebook, too. You. Rock.
This is Loria. Btdubs.
DeleteNude? ;)
ReplyDeleteSomehow my clearance pile digging over the last five years resulted in one well-composed beach look:
a bikini (my first) in tennis ball green
a sheer kaftan in 90s-tastic hot pink, white and neon green leopard
GIANT rimless sunglasses with white ear pieces
slap bracelet-inspired polka dot bangles in brights
It took until 2012 for them all to work together...and last week I left the bikini bottoms somewhere in CT. Perfect. Just perfect....
so Nude it is!!!
*pinned and facebooked? done and done!
I need to figure out whatever the fuck my beach style is since I leave near a few now, or whatever. Can we go with Grandma Goes Beachin' Chic? That's my aesthetic.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, New swimwear. Looks like fun.
