Drumroll please....A Giveaway! (Closed)

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED
I'm very excited to announce Erratic in Heels' very first giveaway! That's right! I have something awesome that I'm going to give to someone who reads the blog for free! What on earth is better than free stuff? LITERALLY NOTHING.
And what, you may ask, am I giving away? Why, this Breil watch, that's what.

I love the classic silhouette of it and the rose gold details are just the frosting on the cake*.
It's a great statement piece by itself or layered with other bracelets, and it goes with just about everything. Here are a few of the ways I've styled it:
Hat: H&M, Scarf: Printemps, Blazer: Berretta, T-shirt: California Casual, Pants: J. Brand, Boots: Frye

Shirt: Chelsea Flower, Shorts: H&M, Shoes: DIY as seen here

Shirt: Vintage, Jeans: H&M, Bracelets: Vintage
How would you style it?
To enter to win, simply leave a comment on this post by Friday, February 3rd that includes your name and contact info.

For bonus points, share the love! Post a link to this page on your Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Blog and be sure to let me know about it in your comment. Another way to get an extra entry is to join the Breil mailing list- just click here.

*Disclaimer: I am not giving away cake. Any and all cake involved with the blog will be eaten by the author. Any and all cake that readers have and would like to share will be eaten by the author. Cake Cake Cake.

Boring Update

This week has been fairly hectic between styling a shoot, going back to school and cultivating an obsession with the BBC show Sherlock.
This is almost all of my attractive clothing.
And while much of that week has been bundled up beyond recognition I've found a few creative ways to stay warm.
Poncho: Grandmother's, Gloves: Cynthia Rowley, Jeans: H&M, Boots: Dolce Vita
Ponchos are creative, right?

I love these boots so much I'm thinking about getting them in red.

Subtle and understated, no?
In other news, I've been thinking about the format of the blog and what direction it should take, and if you have any feedback it would be more than welcome. After all, the more you talk, the less work I have to do tracking the numbers. What do you like to read? Fashion posts? Unwanted Advice? Sappy sentimental stuff? Outfit posts?  Random ramblings?

I went back to school. I'm taking interesting classes and having interesting discussions in them. I'm even doing an interesting project. But enough about that. This is what I wore:

Ernest Hemingway is a underrated style icon.

Some Awesome for Your Weekend

A few things that I think are awesome:

This video

Actually, this entire video series and, more specifically, this woman. I just want to keep her in my cupboard for always.

This website. Because I recently learned that I can't be left alone with Chex Mix of any flavor without eating the entire bag. This may or may not be related to Chex Mix being on sale for $1 at my grocery store. May or may not.

My garden and its bounty:

This picture:
Bahaha. I'm 5. Whatever.

Champagne and bed:

And the fact that I will be putting those two things together this weekend.

This outfit:

I'm still working on how to incorporate neons without looking weird and I think I might need this bag. Ugh, she looks so cool I hate her a little.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! After a lazy and unproductive week I'm hoping I'll be a flurry of productivity. Or, you know, drunk in bed.

Le Freak, C'est Chic

This past weekend I went thrift store hunting looking like a relic from the 70s. With my huge shearling coat atop this outfit, I got a few stares but I was too busy getting a few awesome things here and there to care.

Show me the way to the next whiskey bar

I rediscovered the Doors today. It was awesome. Like when, after dreading it for months, you run into an ex and instead of being awful and awkward it's awesome and you realize you actually can be just friends.

I'm known for getting pretty into the spirit of things. Example A, what I wore today:

Vest: vintage, Tank: Urban Outfitters, Jeans: l.e.i., via T.J. Maxx
Ring: I can't remember (also pictured: very. messy. apartment)

Close-up of my embroidered jeans. I'm very flower-fussy, but these I love.
They do make me flash the peace sign a lot, though.

Shoes! Aren't they wackadoo? Thom Brown Outlet.

So that was me, getting into the Pamela Courson, Penny Lane sort of vibe. You can say the word vibe without it being ironic when you're wearing wooden high-heeled moccasins, you know.
