So the most exciting and random thing happened very, very shortly after I posted my last post. I contacted the editor of Scallywag and Vagabond, sent him a sample of my writing and he offered to bring me on as a writer. Here are links to two of my articles:

This is one of those things that makes me believe it really is possible to acheive anything if you have no shame and don't mind exposing yourself to possible humiliation. I wanted that to sound more touching than it did, but there you are. Humiliate yourself often!
