Click here to see an article I wrote about how bloggers are taking over the world. I was a little hesitant to send this to my editor, because I really love the blogging platform and what it's done both to the fashion world and to journalism. I think it's made it more honest, accessable, interesting and competitive. But I also think we should be aware of the pitfalls that come with it so we can avoid them.
P.S. The editor added the last line of that article, the little beast. I only ever get 3rd row at best.
I was at the Blogger Breakroom on Monday, I don't think I got a chance to meet you though, there were so many people coming in and out! This is a great article, and it does make you think.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Too bad we didn't get to meet. It was a great event, and I had a blast. I hope the article doesn't take away from that.
ReplyDeleteOn your topic of race/class issues that go with the whole "blogger revolution".... I guess writing a blog does at least assume regular access to a computer and the internet, which is in and of itself an issue of class (computers are expensive). Also, you are less likely to see people of "the older generation" (ie my Grandma) blogging about fashion or anything else... So maybe most bloggers are from a restricted class/age/race group.
ReplyDeleteInteresting article though. See? I totally read your blog.
